It’s Christmas eve. Oh yeahh. Decided to shift my leave from 23rd – 24th to 22nd-23rd cuz my boss hinted to me many times that 24th was a half day and it’s basically food food food in the morning . Went to office today and came back with a tons of chocs n cute pink stuff from my colleagues. Had a super full brunch. One of the rewards of working at a F&B industry is that Food is present 24/7 and awesome somemore. Got to try a couple of their log cakes/ swisss roll. Confirm from breadtalk. hahha and in the morning, on my way to the ladies, I saw them cutting chicken IN THE OFFICE. Like wow. and then there was the famous din tai fung fried rice. hhahaaa it’s so convenient cuz their office is just few metres down. and yupsssss met the big boss for the first time. He looks diff from pic. haha Looks such a homeyy man. Not fierce like some pple describe him to be. Anywaysss best part of the day was! we booked tics way in advance to catch ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS SQUEAKQUEL at the grand cathay after.

If you haven caught it, I DEMAND YOU GO CATCH IT NOW. It is awesomelyyyy funnyyy and omg the chipettes r so damn cute. The song single ladies and right round is like stuck in my head.. and I’ve been singing it that to shaggy just to irritate him the whole day. hahahaaaa.. oh myyyy.. This is so much better than the first and I really hope they have alvin and the chipmunks 3. On my way to catch avatar next. Just gonna watch it cuz everyone said it was nice hahaha although it’s really not my kinda genre I’ll go for. What ALIENS?. faints.

It’s never too early and never too late to have a festive celebration and that’s precisely what we did. I must admit, parties could never have been that exciting without a theme to follow. Maybe I have been watching too much that I usually associate parties with masks, dance floor, beautiful desserts ( Oh how I cant live without them) and tea parties served with teacups and muffins on a tray. Then, there are these whole bunch of ladies dressed in nice sun dresses and hats and accompanying them- some fine looking chaps. What a yummy pic but sadly unachievable in the culture I live in. But still, we all have fun our own way

Cheers to the success of our bobbaas party. It was absolutely a bobbafied fun filled evening with my love ones xoxoxo. Really enjoyed the company of you guys! Picking what you wanna be was easy, improvising and creating the costume was A WHOLE DIFFERENT story. My time was stretched to the limit, considering the short amount of time I had to prepare stuff after work. Renting costumes was a solution but no way were we gonna pay 100 over for the jacked up festive price. seasonal descrimination much.. I pretty much spent some of the evenings doing up the outfits. Santarina’s outfit originally consisted of a plain red skirt n red tube top. Bought some white cloth and sewed it to the tube n skirt and attached a pretty ribbon at the front. Did the elfy one as well with tinsels n cloth and the elfy shoess which consisted of green n brown felt. I must say the angels looked absolutely stunning that day Yayysss Pizzas, and many cakes accompanieddd the event..

A sinful something for a very Merry Christmas

Two presents have arrived before Christmas: Firstly, my results. When I first saw my results, I was like ok. Worse than my very first semester grades but much better than I expected. Anyway, before that I was mentally prepared to SU one of the electives alr. But after calculating my cap with or without the module, it only improved by .01. What in the tootiest world… So I’ve decided to leave my 3 precious SUs for my last ( or maybe 3 more sems). How awesome.

Secondly, my other pressie came in the form of a mail from NUS. I wouldnt call that a pre christmas present but yes here it goes: I’ve been offered honours for my biz degree. After much discussion with my parents, maybe I’ll accept it afterall. Any other decisions can wait till next semester. Anyway, I’m quite looking forward for bestie to be back. and yes maybe another semester doing the same mod would make things so much better

Half day at work tmr. Plus it’s a time of party and food. That’s whats bond people right. haha. Cant wait to see my colleagues tmr

The new hollywood

Dang my old laptop. I am severely annoyed with it functioning like windows 95? I suspect it’s gonna die on me very soon. Loading profiles and pictures on fb takes like forever and playing pet society lags like hell. BOBBA THIS! Anywaysssss thought I’ll explore the new 313 somerset today. The one everyone in office has been talking abt. Where have I been all these while man that I didn’t even know that 313 existed until the many encounters of 313 during work. haha i practically can list the stalls in order from 1-25 like at the back of my hand.

313 is hugeeeeee… Didn’t get to see much of the entire shopping centre cuz there was simply no time haha I will explain why in a few seconds. Love the new look of food republic. So proud of it, even much so becuz I handle all their invoices and sales everyday. HAHAAAAASSSSSSSS! Another thing that will probably draw me back countless times is THE GINORMOUS FOREVER 21111111111111111. 4 freaking levels of haven! The moment you enter the shop, it blows you away. I like the concept of this stall the design and everything. It is exactly the same as those in the states. Brings back great memories and when you loook outside and night n see all those blinking lights, it some how resembles a portion of hollywoods. GAH. Anyways I was one of those many shopperrsssss rummaging racks after racks. That’s what I do best hhaaa and it may take hours. Anyway let’s just say that I’ve spent some of my hard earn money.

HAHHAAHA turd turd turd. I’m back with a mass of events to blog about. Just that work is keeping me so tired and busy everyday that when I come home, all I wanna do is sleeep. Not that I have alot like crazy alot of stuff to do at work but they still feed me with enough work to wild away my time n not bore me.. haha pardon my lag of updates but (Rewind back many days) to my fantabulous princesseyyy 21st which every describes as a prelude to my wedding. haha.. Cant help but laugh at all those pics on fb ( Yes there’s a gazillion photos on fb) Enjoy! CUZ WHY? THEY R AMAZING. One word to describe my bday. MAGICAL. and that could only happen when there’s a prince and a princess as well as fellow supporters! OMGG LUV u guys so much who cameee n dressed soo well for the occasions. hahaa My whole bday was a pleasant surprise. 1 year of planning, 1 year of keeping me in the dark, 6 months of hiding the gowns bought from the states and alot of planning, sleepless nights from prince dearest. Who could have expected that this dream I was dreaming abt becoming a princess in my ownn castle would actually come true during the most special period of my life. awesomeee.. the printed ballons r still floating in my room. the cake has a hole innit, 2 have fallen, 9 remains in the magical air. Most of them are half deflated but you know what the strangest thing is. THE special balloon presented to me specially by the prince is still HARD! like really. I dont thnk any air has escaped yet. and I usually put all the ballons at one corner of the room away from the windows incase it gets too hot from the scorching sun and when I woke up the very next day, that special ballon has floated right next to my bed. I call it the magical balloon )))) im still waiting to seee when the balloons will totally deflate.. and ermm i thot helium ballons can only last 6- max 24 hrs. These have lasted since the 4th of dec..

Secondd upss internship at BT! Everyone associates me with BT now. Well. It’s a good thing anyway cuz I like that company so much. BREAD my luv So first day at work in a finance dept. HAHHA best part is I never knew I would be reunited with accounting and financial statements again. This time, a much closer relationship. Complains aside. We all know the work is boring but at least the people there r fun and it also helps kaypoing ard. I’m so good at that. But next time I know for sure. I’ll rather be at the outlets itself doing hands on than trying to figure out what ingredients they r buying etc n omg dont talk to me abt receipts and BANKS statements n invoices.

Next: Abs’s kiddishh bday. Spent a few nights doing upss her guestbook. It took much effort and thought trying to figure out what theme and colors to blend with. BLAH. After much influence, I have suddenly taken a strong liking to elegant colors such as gold, silver, white n black. Not that I dont fancy pink, red ( OMG those r forever my number one), but it’s just that they dun go well with serious themes* arh whatever im talking hahhaa… so yupp since the bday girl wanted a kiddish theme, I made the guestbook with a variety of colors, ribbons and paperr and rings The more I was into the book, the more I realise that it was becoming tooo pink and girly for a girl like abs hahaha but what to do, the designer fancies such and so the hand follows such. Anyway her bday was a blast with milk bottles, party bags ( like those they give in primary sch), party hats, alphabet mats and soft toys and alot of forfeit n games ))

Next , many home dinners with the bf and shroomss.. and a great movie LEFT BEHIND.

Next, ALICIA SUGARRRRRRs 21st. Where we celebrated at ( I dunno the name of the place) but it was beside fish n co at Bugis. Had a large smoked duck pizza which looked good in the pic but when it came, we were like where is the smoked duck??? It probably covered only 1/7 of the pizza and the bday girl took out the salad whcih was on the pizza and what was left was a tiny smoked duck n erm plain pizza? We ordered a mushroom bruchetta which was not bad and desserts ( apple pie, raspberry sorbet on the house and some banana wrapped liek a spring roll thingy) Ermm it was really bad. The apple pie crust was too butteryy n soggy and too sweet. I couldnt understand why they called the raspberry sorbet the chef recommendations but atfer trying the apple pie, the sorbet had no taste. But at least the service was excellent. haha the manager was overly friendly till the point it became a lil scary haha. I still remember him saying ” aliciais a very shy girl. which is gooddd HAHAHAHAHAHA omg. Hilarious!

Next, the bobbass r in town finallyy.. BOBBA VEEE, BOBBA CHEE, BOBBAAA NA, BOBBA SHA, BOBBANY, BOBBAcole, Bobbaagy . MANY CRAZYY THINGS N SLPOVERS TO COME

Coming right up. the BIG FANCY christmas partyy and ermm I TOOOK LEAVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Dark chocolate mousse cake

Time to satisfy some of my wildest DARK chocolate desires. It’s mousse time. This time special credit must be given to David Lebovitz for his awesome melt in your mouth baked mousse cake. At first when I saw BAKED + mousse , it didn’t seem quite right together. From all my past experiences ( sadly were failures), oven played no part in the process. Just plain raw eggs. No wonder my mum hated the idea of raw desserts. Anyway, less talk! My 5th attempt at choc mousse.

Melting the dark choc chips with espresso and cream. Although they all say block choc would be much better, I had to do something with the remainder of the chips. Better still. ESPRESSO! No coffeee machineee and there was no starbucks near by or something hhaa so well make do with home brewed coffee? hahhaa anyway it well brought out the essence of the choc. Maybe using espresso would yield a better outcome?

Whipping the eggs and sugar. This is my fav part of baking. Just dump the ingredients and let the mixer do the job. So no longer will baking help you lose weight unless you’re those time of person who rather hand whip then use technology. It’s a NO NO for me after that huge disaster of trying to be a smart alec and whipping the mixture myself that took like foreverr..

and here’s the final product. The cake was rather soft and yes it gets stuck onto the side of your knife so you cann slowly enjoy and lick it off.

No flour, no butter, pure choc. INDULGE in it while you’re still young

Strawberry mousse cake

Freedom always comes with something beautiful. So I thought strawberries + pink + red would probably suit my mood best. Sometime back I tried a strawberry mousse cake bought for my friend’s bday from a bakery and fell in love with it. It wasn’t from a famous patissier whatsoever but the cake still tasted good. Sometimes simple works best Although I’m not such a big fan of fruit cakes, summer berry cakes or whatever cakes that are not Black ( chocolate I mean), I found this cake rather yummy to the tastebuds. And so it goessss… My first attempt at strawberry mousse cake

Hulling and washing the berries. Had a fun time doing so.. haha They were rather huge in size like those from the states I thought but tasted nothing like those sweet juicyyy ones I tried.

Slicing them up and ready for simmering together with the gelatin powder , water and sugar.

Next use a food processor to make the strawberry purree and mix them with the whipped cream. 400g of cream states the recipe. That’s a hell lot of cream and mousse to begin with. Anyway, the swirling colors were nice to take a photo of so there you go.

haha see that odd sunken shape at the tip.. It’s caused by uneven handling of the cake while trying to slice them apart. BOBBA! It was too soft to handle yet tasted pretty hard. Daddy thought I made some suji cake or something. HHHAHAHA even better still. No need semolina flour to accomplish the same result. Anyway I thought the cake was a failure… but the mousse was acceptable although it could have tasted sweeter.. BAD quality strawberries? Maybe… RAWR! More attempts soonnn :D

Oh yah, Cant help but share my JOY. Bought 3 new love! HAHAHHAH the mini muffin pans were soo cute. When I saw them, I thought to myself ” you are mine”. Bought a bigger springfoam tin for making BIGGER cakes and a pie one..

YESSSS! It’s 2 days since my last paper and I had hardly time to go online. 2 froppinng days away from fb/internet.. ABSOLUTELY incredible but I made it.. I SURVIVED YAY!! Headed to work at midnight to make decoration plans for shaggy’s 21st. VIOLA. I totally totally needed paper as rough sketch for the alphabets so I conveniently did it from where?! MY Econs notes hahaahah… Well, it just happened to be beside me at the right time, right place… At least they didn’t go to waste )

COUNTING DOWN

At the busiest time of my life, I end up blogging the most. Such is the irony of life.

Anywayys, the long dreaded AIS and econs is down. AIS was: don’t talk abt it. Econs on the other hand was rather ok. Half the paper was do-able, as for the other half, I spent 1 hr inneey meeneying miny mo which of the qns I should at least try to attempt. Hah. However, I didn’t think it was as bad as I thought it will be. Can’t expect much outta reading the whole semester worth of notes in just 1 day. [ haha Jies, I'll tell you whether the 10% effort I put in, turns out to be 80% of the grades ]

The new spotlight catalog has ARRIVED. I simply adore that store. IT’S TRULY mine! The new decor at Plaza Sing is amazing that I reckon I could spend a day there, just viewing the aisles. IT HAS a wide range of bedroom furniture and OMGG TOWELS. pink oness )) Soo much like those I saw at Target!! All theyy need is more pink and violaaa, I would buy everything off them. First place Im gonna go after exams is to raid that place. Maybe I should pay a visit to my long lost art friend too.. oooo to buy more glitter pens and erm stuff that are pretty to the eye. MY HANDS MY HANDS are itching from not doing any work ( minus the fact that all I did these few weeks were WRITING) . I need to bake or decorate something. Just yest, I ended up raiding the fridge and cutting fruits- a cheapo alternative to baking. But whatever, at least I ended up doing something……..

I wanna watch twiglight and catch up on the remainder of Season 2 GG! and do a massive round 2 touch up on my room. 1 week to do so much things before I start my internship at BreadTalk. Yessss,, im going back there! HAHAHAHA. Breadtalk+ me are so meant to be.
